Cooking With Chefs
Learn from the best of the best
Cooking with Chefs offers a large selection of classes both sweet and savory. Here’s how it works: you put together a group of 4-7 cooks and choose a class. We’ll work together to set a convenient date – midweek or weekend. Don’t see a class that is right for you? We will work with you to design a class that is just what you want.
A typical Cooking With Chefs weekend begins with check-in any time after 3pm on Friday. Come early enough to explore the village shops and galleries and then gather at the Inn for a light supper. Follow with dessert and coffee in the living room, perhaps before a crackling fire. On Saturday the day begins with a full country breakfast and before the class there is time for shopping or a hike.
In the afternoon, you will work directly with the chef for 3-4 hours in the Inn’s large country kitchen preparing the recipes for the weekend’s course. Your participation may be as hands-on as you like, or you may sip a little wine and just watch. There will be tips for shortcuts and professional techniques as well as a complete recipe book for each participant.
Late Saturday afternoon, we’ll finish with time to spare before dinner. Dinner may include some of our afternoon creations, depending on the subject of the class. Sunday morning starts with another full breakfast and then it’s time to say goodbye. Most Brandon shops are open on Sundays, depending on the season, so before heading home you’ll have a bit more time to sample the shops or go back for that find you hesitated with on Saturday.
